Despite recent progress, the design of wireless networks still presents exciting challenges that range from the design of efficient physical layer algorithms, which can cope with the harsh wireless propagation channel, to the development of cognitive and self-organizing architectures for next generation wireless networks.

The Wireless Intelligent Networks Center (WINC) is envisioned to achieve academic excellence in all aspects of the design and analysis of wireless networks. Towards this end, the center will adopt an integrated approach for research, education, and technology development. The ongoing projects at WINC strive for the optimal balance between 1) short term impact and fundamental contributions, 2) theoretical depth and practical relevance, and 3) building ties with local/regional partners and ensuring international visibility. Our research activity is supported by M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs offered at Nile University in collaboration with Ohio State University. At WINC, we aggressively recruit top young talent for our coveted research assistantships. Currently, WINC has 18 Research Assistants (RAs) and 6 Research Faculty.
